Find the Differences

Find the Differences is a spot-the-difference game for ages 4 to 9. Two pictures of the same scene sit side by side, or one above the other on a phone: same friends, same place, and a handful of small things that are different between them. Your child looks, taps a difference on either picture, and it lights up on both, with a few gold sparkles. If the thing is missing from one of the pictures, its empty place lights up instead. The light fades after a moment, and what stays is a small gold circle with a number in it, beside the difference on both pictures, so what's already found is clear at a glance. There are six pictures to choose from, from a mushroom market to a garden on the clouds, and each one hides a handful of small differences; the lobby card says how many, and it counts them from the picture itself. The mushroom market and the pumpkin garden are friendly places to start, because the things that change there are big and out in the open. The treehouse observatory and the cloud garden take a longer look, since in each of them a friend has quietly moved somewhere else.

It's free to play, with no sign-in, no timer and no score. A tap that lands on nothing gets a kind word from Ori and another look, never a buzzer. When the last few are hard to see, the lantern button makes one hidden difference glow for a moment, and the magnifying glass zooms both pictures together. The stars along the top only show how many are found so far; misses aren't counted, nothing is timed, and nothing is compared with anyone. What we wanted to build is a calm corner where looking closely is the whole game.
