Memory & Focus Games

For everyone who likes looking closely!

In some games your eyes find it. In others, your memory does. Nothing here is in a hurry: look as long as you like, try as often as you like.

Look & Find

Two pictures, side by side. Find the little things that are different.

This shelf keeps memory games for kids and looking games in one place; they are often called brain games for kids too. In all four, your child looks at her own pace and nobody hurries her. In Memory Challenge she holds the last card's place in her head, then goes looking for its pair. In Look & Find, two pictures of the same scene sit side by side and she picks out the small differences one at a time. In Look and Remember she studies a picture for as long as she likes, then something magical takes a few things away and she remembers what was there. In Hidden Color Echoes she starts with a picture drawn in black and white, finds the friends hiding in it one by one, and each found friend wakes a little of the picture's color. If your child is four, Five Frogs is the place to start: it hides five friends, while the other five pictures hide ten each and take longer to finish. Hidden Color Echoes is made for ages 4 to 7, the other three games for ages 4 to 9, and all four share the same house rules: no timer, no score, no penalty for a wrong tap, no sign-in, and all of them free. If you came looking for logic games for kids, puzzles and sorting, the Puzzles & Logic shelf is next door. What we are trying to build is a quiet corner where looking closely counts as a game on its own.
