5 Little Pumpkins: a Halloween Counting Song
Roll your hands and count!
Hi! It’s Miri. Look at the big tree in the autumn forest. One little pumpkin is waiting there. Then one more comes. And one more!
How many pumpkins can there be? Let’s find out. Roll your hands round and round, and count with me. One, two, three, four, five!

- Press play. The song starts.
- One pumpkin is by the tree. Hold up one finger.
- One more joins? Hold up one more finger.
- Hear “Roll along”? Roll your hands round and round.

Sing along: the words
One little pumpkin by a tree
One more joins. How many? Two
Two little pumpkins roll with me
Wobble through the morning dew
Roll along, roll along
Little pumpkins, here’s our song
Roll your hands and count with me
How many pumpkins can there be
Two little pumpkins on the ground
One more joins. Now there are three
Three little pumpkins wobble round
One rolls sideways past my knee
Roll along, roll along
Little pumpkins, here’s our song
Roll your hands and count with me
How many pumpkins can there be
Three little pumpkins, here’s one more
Count them slowly. Now there are four
Four little pumpkins, one more joins
One, two, three, four, five
Roll along, roll along
Little pumpkins, here’s our song
Roll your hands and count with me
Five little pumpkins by the tree
One, two, three, four, five
Five little pumpkins, side by side

Questions grown-ups ask
Is this Halloween song scary?
No. It’s a gentle counting song. Five smiling pumpkins join one at a time by a big tree in an autumn forest, and they roll and wobble along.
What age is it for?
Kittelfdora Kids makes things for children aged 4 to 9, and this song is simple enough for the youngest of them. It counts from 1 to 5. Older kids can lead the counting, or line up real objects as each pumpkin joins.
How long is it?
2 minutes and 21 seconds. The pumpkins join one at a time until all five are side by side.
Where can we listen to the song?
